We believe in a community of all generations who create a compassionate, more just, and greener world full of joy and love.
To empower children with self-esteem and mindfulness education.
For every child to love who they are, thrive in their community, and contribute to a more just and compassionate world.
At present, 1 in 3 of NYC’s nearly 2 million children live in poverty, and less than 65% of children attending NYC public schools graduate high school. Of the children who graduate high school, only 1 in 3 are prepared for college or a career – cccnewyork.org.
We believe that emotional-health education must support academic education to change these statistics. To achieve our goal, we forge long-term school partnerships to create a ripple effect throughout the school community where children, families, and school staff personnel share a common language full of compassion and understanding.
We focus on giving children the skills to navigate life’s challenges. Our programs allow children to develop the self-esteem, self-care, resilience, and leadership skills necessary to process past experiences and manage current challenges, so that they are free to pursue the dreams of their future.
